Event Shirts

I have placed the additional shirt order and hopefully will have them around June 1 or a few days sooner.

Thank You

Thank You

Thank You for being a part of True Street Shootout this year. We had over 110 car’s and bikes going down the track and 130 entries total with around 1000 spectators. Not bad for no Radio or TV ads I think. We paid out over $9000 in payouts alone making it well over $12,000 in cash, shirts, BBQ , monster and a Nitrous kit.

We did have a few hick ups from the new growth this year along with other changes & we apologize. We do hope most everyone had a good time & I promise if I’m (John) still doing it next time we will do what we can to improve on it. We ended up with allot more cars entered in street then we planned for and it really needed another class to help divide the limited class more. Maybe Extreme, Street A, B & C then Limited. But we only had sponsor donations to get us what we had. We had some people bring me concerns on the ladders being wrong. I had to make a call, shut down the racing & go through the ladders all over and make everyone start the competition over or just go with what we had to keep the event moving. Sorry if some you are not happy with this decision but I felt it was the only way.

We would like to say Thank You to everyone that helped with the event this year. The KID staff out did them self from what I could see, from handling the gate, staging lanes concessions, prep, tower, etc. The entire staff stepped up and did an excellent job of helping. KID is the best it’s ever been and constantly moving forward to becoming one of the best tracks around.

We would like to thank Jim Marlett for always being at KID taking photo’s.  He went out of his way to meet us at the House of Schwan for a group photo.  Please check out his galleries.  If you have ever went down the track he has probably taken one of the best shots of your car your ever going to get and he has them available for purchase on his site which I have listed in the menu.

Also thank you to Janelle Kiewel, Jamie Campbell, Jason Bell, Becka Miller, Alexis M, Kelsi L. and anyone else I might have missed that was helping.

I would like to thank my Wife (Karisma), Son (Dax), & Daughter (Alexis) for giving me their help & support. They don’t usually go to the track but my wife who knows nothing about racing or the track did everything she could in the tower and with the shirts to help. If it wasn’t for my son My knees would have given out early in the evening, between the tower stairs and keeping trailers from parking in the center he really helped allot, he slept the entire next day. My daughter & her friends helped with check in and shirts. My daughters smile helped my keep going when things felt overwhelming. She wants to go to the track every weekend now, she didn’t know it was so fun.

Ok! finally, without money or donations none of this could happen. Sponsors for very little return, donate money, food or prizes so everyone can have an enjoyable experience.

Thank You Pig In! Pig out! for completely going off the charts with your BBQ! You guys really out did yourself. Anybody that didn’t get a plate full really missed out. He spared no expense and had plenty of food for everyone that participated & most of their families. It’s the BEST BBQ in the business head over to 1003 East 13th Street & try some asap

Thank You Pro Source Automotive out of Newton for providing a ZEX Nitrous kit that was given away in a drawing. Brian Walden was the winner. See Rick for them Auto repair & Hail Dents
